Allocations Committee
Reviews budget requests of local, national and overseas beneficiaries and recommends to the Federation Board of Directors the amount that should be allocated to these agencies from the monies obtained through the Federation Annual Campaign.

This committee conducts the Annual Federation Campaign and special campaigns as needed.

Community Relations Committee (CRC)
Bea Lurie and Alan Richelson, Co-Chairs
Provides informational opportunities to keep the Jewish community and leaders of the non-Jewish community informed through the media, personal liaison, contact with religious, school, government and business leaders, and community programs. Maintains continued contact with legislative and congressional leaders on issues that affect the Jewish community on a local and state basis. Keeps a regular vigilance of the news media and maintain an ongoing dialogue with the media. Builds bridges of understanding and cooperation in our own Jewish community and in our relations with the non-Jewish community.

Endowment Committee
Michael Lebovitz, Co-Chair
Merv Pregulman, Co-Chair
Educates community about the importance of endowment and solicits funds to help endowment grow.

Investment Committee
Bob Berz, Chair
Receives, holds, invests. and manages contributions made as endowments for restricted or unrestricted charitable, educational, religious, etc., purposes of the Federation.

House Committee
Co-Chairs: Jerry Bogo and Stuart Bush
Responsible for the upkeep and routine maintenance of facility. Group makes decisions on issues such as, but not limited to artwork, furniture, improvements, landscaping, rentals, and catering.

Program Committee
Plans and organizes a variety of activities including, but not limited to, lecture programs, entertainers, adult Jewish education programs, special observances such as Yom HaShoah and Yom Ha’Atzmaut, and other programs to strengthen Jewish identity and culture.

Missions Committee
Organizes, recruits and promotes participation by members of the Chattanooga Jewish Community in trips to Israel and other sources of our heritage under the auspices of the Federation and/or the United Jewish Communities.

Newcomers Committee
Plans programs to welcome and integrate newcomers to the Chattanooga Jewish community. The committee personally contacts new arrivals in the community to provide them with information about the various agencies, synagogues and services within the Jewish Community. The committee also sends welcome packets to prospective newcomers.

Nominating Committee
Robert Snetman and Andy Hodes, Co-Chairs
Nominates candidates for officers and directors-at-large to be elected for the ensuing year at the Annual Meeting of the Federation.

Personnel Committee
Andy Hodes, Chair
Responsible for the continuous development, review and evaluation of the overall personnel practices of the Federation. The committee, in conjunction with the Executive Director, is involved in the recruitment and selection of professional staff.

Social Services Committee
Assists professional staff in rendering services as necessary in response to requests for assistance made by individuals or families in the community related to financial distress, care of the aged, resettlement, child welfare problems and other personal emergencies.

Young Leadership Committee
Designs and conducts programs to educate and train prospective leaders of all ages to fill the varied positions of lay leadership in the Federation, and the Jewish Community.
