Ongoing Programs

“I plan my month around discussion groups at the Jewish Cultural Center… and the delicious meals make great programs even better.”

In addition to special lectures, performances, exhibits, and social events, the Federation offers these weekly and monthly programs. Unless otherwise noted, please RSVP for any of these events to Ann Treadwell.

Foreign Policy Supper Club: A family-style dinner, brief presentation, and discussion at 6:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. Articles produced by the Foreign Policy Association and Great Decisions are available prior to the discussion, and, when possible, an informed guest will join the discussion. Cost: $9 (includes dinner)

Alzheimer’s Support Group: This support group for caregivers meets in the conference room of the Jewish Cultural Center on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. No cost.

Belly/Middle Eastern Dancing: Jillanna Babb-Cheshul of Merry Bellies teaches this drop-in, one-hour class each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Pay as you go at $5/class.

Golden Agers: A lunch program for seniors that meets every Wednesday (except the third Wednesday of the month) at 11:30 a.m.  The meeting on the second Wednesday is an intergenerational gathering. (See below) Cost: $7 (includes lunch)

Intergenerational Activity: Adults  of all ages join students from the Aleph Bet Chiildren’s Center students in an activity followed by lunch  on the second Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. Cost: $7 (includes lunch)

Noon Nosh: A lunch program for all  adults on the third Tuesday of each month at noon that features a speaker or performance. Cost: $8 (includes lunch)
