2024 Annual Campaign

2024 Annual Campaign

The Jewish Federation, housed at the Jewish Cultural Center, supports Aleph Bet Children’s Center preschool, a three-star program open to children of all faiths, cultures and religions – ages 2, 3, and 4.

The Federation has a Shaliach, an Israeli Emissary, who works IN the Jewish community FOR the Jewish community. The Shaliach works in ALL our community Hebrew Schools and Sunday program. The Shaliach also speaks at schools, universities, churches and civic groups along with the many programs for our Jewish community including Yom HaShoah, Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut.

The Jewish Federation provides Social Services to the entire Jewish community and coordinates the Tuesday Café program including Transportation Service to those who need transportation. Additionally, the Federation provides a Jewish Community Health Advocate.

Through The Shofar, our website (www.jewishchattanooga.com), Facebook, and the Community Directory, the Federation keeps the community informed, united and in touch.

Events and information for Young Jewish Leadership are part of our programs that include social, philanthropic and networking opportunities.

The Federation’s largest allocation supports Machanooga – The community-wide Sunday School Program, which is run by the local Chattanooga congregations.

Federation subsidizes Jewish experiences by awarding Camp Grants and Israel Scholarships to our students. Adults are eligible for Federation subsidies to go on Missions to Israel.

The Federation coordinates community-wide holiday celebrations and events, such as the Community Chanukah Party, the July 4th Community Picnic, the Jewish Film Series, and the Israel Celebration.

The Jewish Federation implements creative and diverse programs for all ages while also implementing the high school youth group, Jew Crew. The Federation also hosts various exhibits at the Jewish Cultural Center.

The Federation provides Education about Judaism to the general community. Through our Community Relations Committee, we work with organizations such as United Way, local media, public and private schools, arts and civic organizations, and the Urban League.

The Federation maintains a Community Calendar (online) so that individuals and groups can coordinate their activities and choose the best times for successful events. The Federation’s yearly Census and Survey also provides valuable information to the Jewish community.

Thank you in advance for making a donation to the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga’s Annual Campaign.  No gift touches more lives.
