JEW CREW IS BACK!!!
What is Jew Crew? Jew Crew is a Jewish high school group that is coordinated and sponsored by the Chattanooga Jewish Federation. It is for all Jewish students in 9th-12th grades.
Why Jew Crew? Our Jewish community is diverse, spread out across the Greater Chattanooga metro area. Many of our teens (and families) don’t know each other. Jew Crew brings together ALL Jewish teens, whether they belong to a congregation or not. Jew Crew is the opportunity to be with other Jewish teens, to strengthen Jewish identity, to feel connected to each other and the Jewish community.
Who leads Jew Crew? We are grateful that Holly Schwartz has volunteered to be an advisor for the Jew Crew. The Federation Shaliach will also be supporting Holly in preparation and execution of gathering. One of our Jew Crew Alumni, Rebecca Dzik, will also be assisting.
When and how often does Jew Crew meet? We meet most months on a Sunday afternoon typically from 12:30-2:00 (following Machanooga). Lunch is always provided. Locations for each gathering vary. The 2025-26 school calendar dates are included with this note.
How much does Jew Crew cost? $80 per teen, per year, which helps to cover a portion of the programming costs. All additional costs are covered by the Jewish Federation.
Can my teen still participate in USY, TYG, BBYO or other affiliated opportunities? Absolutely! In fact, we encourage your teen to participate in regional conventions through your preferred group.
